Hi! I'm Rina and I feel extremely awkward writing about myself. I was born in Hawai'i and raised in Utah. I'm asked all the time if I wish I were back in Hawai'i. The answer has always been a humble, "no". Don't get me wrong, the idea of vacationing in paradise is as appealing to me as the next person. But I am a Utahn through and through.I married my stud muffin at the very naïve age of 18 and six short months later I became a mom. Fast forward almost 14 years and 4 kids later and here we are!
I've crocheted for years but never considered myself a crocheter. I am a very stubborn girl. It wasn't until I was pregnant with my youngest that I started to crave something more when it came to crochet. Crocheting for me was 100% therapeutic. I loved being able to get in to a flow and zone out. It's very much like what adult coloring books do for the cool moms these days. But everything I was crocheting just wasn't my style. It was then I decided to look for some modern crochet patterns. At first it was frustrating not being able to find modern crochet patterns easily and most stores only offered the finished blanket, not the pattern and my DIY heart couldn't let this go. I just had to find a solution and make it easier for the next crocheter seeking something similar. I then started to toy with the idea of creating my own designs/patterns. After hours and hours of trial and error I finally established a design workflow that fit my needs. Since I was about to have another baby, I naturally gravitated towards baby blanket patterns. The rest is history!
